Open access policy

Geographia Polonica is an open-access journal. This means that all content is available free of charge to any user without any embargo period. All research articles in Geographia Polonica have been published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) since vol. 91 issue 2 (2018). You can view the full license terms here: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.en
Vol. 88 issue 1 (2015) – Vol. 90 issue 3 (2017) were published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-ND 4.0). Vol. 90 issue 4 (2017) – Vol. 91 issue 1 (2018) were published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).

This allows users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, and link to the full texts, as well as use them for any lawful purpose – without requiring prior permission from the publisher or author. However, proper attribution is required: users must credit the author (or others whose authorship should be acknowledged), provide a link to the license, and indicate any modifications made.

Submission of papers to Geographia Polonica by the author(s) implies transfer of copyright to the Publisher, i.e., the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization, Polish Academy of Sciences. It also confirms the author(s)' express consent for free publication by the Publisher (IGSO PAS) in both print and electronic formats under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.
